A devastatant stunning album full of classic and sinfonic passages. Only instrumental but the compositions are so well embroidered.
Great thanks Isabel for swiss gem.
This time lix.in doesn't give problem.

"Swiss band whose whole existence is really obscure. As the name Sicher means "Safe" and is also seemingly the surname of two band members, internet surfing for more info is really difficult.

Sicher played a masterful blend of classical and jazzy styles, heavily reliant on the flutes and keyboards, with harpsichords, pianos, organs and synthesizers, adding a baroque yet modern contrast of genres. All instrumental, each track lays down a different facet of exploration, so much so that we could reel of a whole plethora of comparisons, from The Nice, Ekseption, Eela Craig, and further afield, but we'll stop there, as Sicher were more than the sum of their influences, with an overall style of their own."

Have this for some years now. This album has definitely grown on me. The first time I listened to it I wasn't aware of its full greatness. Now, upon 30+ spins it is a desert island. The best synpho-prog-album-without-mellotron, hands down. Kudos for the players, BEAUTIFUL flutes, GREAT sax, OVERWHELMING keys (both EXCELLENT organ and piano), BLOWN AWAY bass and absolutely LOVELY guitar. I see no similarities with other bands. Sicher is a very unique sound and an all time masterpiece. Together with (all different beast) countrymen Plamp how I wish to know the whereabouts of band members. Where are you now so I can say a big THANK YOU for this GREAT heavenly music!

P.S. -- And congrats for your blog! Keep up the obscure path:)
